Preparation
- Prepare the cabbage leaves by removing any damaged ones. Cut the cabbage in half, carve out the core, and blanch large leaves in boiling water for 2-3 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine the ground meat, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper, and optionally cheese and egg. Mix well.
Baking
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Fill each cabbage leaf with the meat mixture and wrap it securely.
- Brush the wrapped burgers with olive oil and season with salt.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and browned. Optionally, broil for the last 1-2 minutes for extra crispiness.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with a side salad, steamed vegetables, or your favorite dipping sauces like ranch or marinara. You can also add toppings like salsa, guacamole, or shredded lettuce for extra flavor.
