Ingredients
  

For the patties
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup almond flour Gluten-free alternative
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For the gravy
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For cooking the patties
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped For garnishing

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, egg, almond flour, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into patties.
Cooking the Patties
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove the patties and set aside.
Making the Gravy
  1. In the same skillet, add mushrooms and garlic, and sauté until the mushrooms are soft.
  2. Pour in the beef broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to incorporate any browned bits. Let it simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
  3. Return the patties to the skillet, cover with the gravy, and cook for a few more minutes.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Ensure your patties are evenly shaped for consistent cooking. Don't skip scraping the bits from the bottom of the skillet; they add great flavor to the gravy. Experiment with adding other spices or herbs to the beef mixture for more flavor.
