Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, protein powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the milk until just combined.
- For the savory version, fold in the diced ham and shredded cheese. For the Mediterranean version, fold in the crumbled sausage and feta cheese.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
Baking
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm on their own or paired with fruit or yogurt. Store in an airtight container; they last up to 2 days at room temperature or a week in the fridge. Freeze for longer storage.
