  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 piece Juice of 1 lemon
For Serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix garlic, cumin, paprika, turmeric, coriander, cinnamon, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Coat the chicken thighs in the spice mixture.
Cooking
  1. Place the chicken in the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  2. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks.
Serving
  1. Serve in pita bread or over rice, and top with fresh vegetables.

Notes

For extra depth of flavor, marinate the chicken in the spice mixture for a few hours or overnight before cooking. Feel free to adjust the spices according to your taste. If you like it spicier, add some cayenne pepper. Pair it with a quick salad to make a complete meal.
