  • 1 lb gnocchi Store-bought gnocchi works perfectly.
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese Can substitute with cottage cheese or cream cheese mixture.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (such as basil or parsley), chopped Use fresh herbs for a brighter flavor.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Use fresh breadcrumbs for best texture.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For toasting breadcrumbs.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust seasoning as preferred.

  1. Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat. Add the cooked gnocchi and stir gently to combine.
  3. In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with fresh herbs, salt, and pepper.
  4. Top the gnocchi mixture with dollops of the herbed ricotta.
  5. In a separate pan, heat the olive oil and toast the breadcrumbs until golden and crunchy.
  6. Sprinkle the toasted breadcrumbs on top of the gnocchi and ricotta.
  7. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your fancy dinner!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently and add a splash of extra marinara sauce if it seems dry. Customize by adding cooked vegetables or protein for extra flavor.
