Chicken and Sauce
  • 4 pieces chicken thighs Bone-in, skin-on thighs recommended for more flavor
  • 2 tablespoons butter Unsalted butter for better control of seasoning
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 piece lemon, juiced Fresh lemon juice preferred
  • to taste Salt and pepper Use to enhance flavor
Vegetable Side
  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed Fresh or frozen green beans can be used
  • 1 splash water or chicken broth For steaming the green beans
  • to garnish Fresh parsley Chopped, for serving

Method
 

Cooking the Chicken
  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Preparing the Green Beans
  1. In the same skillet, add green beans and a splash of water or chicken broth. Cover and steam for about 5 minutes until tender.
Final Assembly
  1. Return the chicken to the skillet, drizzle with lemon juice, and toss everything together.
  2. Cook for another minute, then garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

This dish pairs well with rice or crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
