Preparation
- Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the heavy cream, cream cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- In the last 30 minutes of cooking, stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Once done, garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add some sun-dried tomatoes or spinach to the creamy mixture before cooking. Make sure to check the chicken's doneness with a meat thermometer; it should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). If you want a thicker sauce, you can add a bit of grated Parmesan cheese in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
