Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the mushrooms and garlic for about 5-7 minutes until soft and fragrant.
- In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, sautéed mushrooms and garlic, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, shredded cheese, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Serve warm as a standalone dish, with a fresh green salad, zucchini noodles, or cauliflower rice. For added flavor, sprinkle extra cheese on top before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days; it can also be frozen for up to three months.
