Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound chicken breast (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 2 cups Brussels sprouts (halved)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (use low sodium if preferred)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (minced)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting the chicken into small pieces and halving the Brussels sprouts.
Make the Honey-Garlic Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and ginger. Set this sauce aside for later.
Sauté the Brussels Sprouts
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the Brussels sprouts, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and slightly caramelized. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Chicken
  1. In the same skillet, add the chicken pieces. Cook until they are browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
Combine and Simmer
  1. Once the chicken is cooked, return the Brussels sprouts to the skillet. Pour the honey-garlic sauce over the mixture and stir well. Let it simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Garnish and Serve
  1. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top before serving. Enjoy your delicious meal!

Notes

For added flavor, let the chicken marinate in the honey-garlic sauce for 30 minutes before cooking. You can customize this recipe by swapping Brussels sprouts for other vegetables like broccoli or green beans.
