Preparation
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a medium bowl, combine the diced mango, red bell pepper, red onion, chopped cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, and chopped jalapeño (if using) to make the mango salsa. Mix well and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Set aside.
- Brush the tuna steaks with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Cooking
- Place the tuna steaks on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if desired.
- Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a minute.
Serving
- Serve the grilled tuna steaks topped with mango salsa.
Notes
Serve with a side of rice, quinoa, or a fresh green salad. Pairs well with chilled white wine or a light cocktail. Store leftovers separately in airtight containers; tuna lasts up to 2 days, salsa up to 1 day.
