Ingredients

Roll Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet active yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 3/4 cup warm milk Make sure it’s warm to avoid killing the yeast
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional) For garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk with sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, minced garlic, and Parmesan cheese.
  3. Mix everything together until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it feels smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Punch down the dough and divide it into small balls. Place them on a greased baking sheet.
  3. Allow the rolls to rise again for another 30 minutes.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  5. Brush them with melted butter and sprinkle with more Parmesan and parsley if desired. Enjoy!
