Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 sheet puff pastry Make sure it's cold when you start working with it.
  • 1 cup fresh mulberries (or blueberries/blackberries) Feel free to experiment with other berries.
For the Glaze
  • few drops squeezed mulberry juice
  • to taste optional sugar Add sugar to the squeezed mulberry juice for sweetness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven according to the puff pastry package instructions.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into squares.
  3. Place the squares on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Add a few mulberries in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the berries to create a rustic shape.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, usually around 15-20 minutes.
Glazing
  1. For the glaze, mix a few drops of squeezed mulberry juice with sugar to taste.
  2. Drizzle the glaze over the warm danishes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, straight from the oven. They can be enjoyed on their own or paired with coffee or tea. A light dusting of powdered sugar adds to the presentation. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days or refrigerate for up to a week. Reheat in the oven before serving.
