  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt and pepper Add to your preference.
  • for garnish Fresh parsley Chopped, for serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, cooking until the mushrooms are browned.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream, cooking until the sauce thickens.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve over chicken, hamburger steak, or cauliflower mash.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

This sauce pairs wonderfully with grilled chicken or hamburger steak, and is excellent over cauliflower mash. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 5 days. To reheat, warm on the stove over low heat, adding a splash of broth or cream to thin it out if necessary. For a unique flavor, try adding spinach or thyme while cooking.
