- In a small saucepan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and sugar.
- Allow the mixture to cool, then add sesame seeds if using.
- Transfer to a jar and store in the refrigerator for up to a month.
Notes
Drizzle over pasta, rice, or roasted vegetables. Great as a dipping sauce for dumplings or spring rolls. Shake before using as ingredients may separate.
