  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Leftover chicken works great.
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Fresh or frozen, just thaw and drain if using frozen.
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped Adds a nice savory flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For creaminess.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Divided into two portions.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder For flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust according to your preference.

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, broccoli, bacon, heavy cream, half of the cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is bubbling and the cheese is golden.

Notes

To store leftovers, place the casserole in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will keep for about 3 to 4 days. When you're ready to reheat, simply pop it back in the oven or microwave until warmed through. For extra creaminess, consider adding cream cheese. Feel free to experiment with different vegetables and cheeses.
