  • 2 pieces flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese Can use flavored cream cheese for variation.
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries Other fruits like strawberries or raspberries can be substitutes.
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional) Adjust to taste.
  • as needed Cooking spray or butter for frying Use for greasing the skillet.
  • as needed Powdered sugar for dusting (optional) For garnish.
  • as needed Additional toppings (e.g., sliced bananas, strawberries, or nuts) Feel free to customize.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese and honey until smooth.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on one side of each tortilla.
  3. Sprinkle the fresh blueberries over the cream cheese on one of the tortillas.
  4. Place the other tortilla on top, cream cheese side down, to form a sandwich.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little cooking spray or butter.
  2. Carefully place the quesadilla in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Remove from the skillet and let cool for a minute.
Serving
  1. Cut into wedges and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
  2. Serve warm with additional toppings if preferred.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. To reheat, warm in a skillet or microwave. Consider using whole wheat tortillas for a healthier option.
