  • 1 can chickpeas (15 ounces) Rinsed and drained
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • to taste cayenne pepper Optional for heat

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse and drain the chickpeas, then pat them dry with a paper towel.
  3. In a bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil and the spices until evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Place the seasoned chickpeas in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  2. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  3. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Make sure to dry the chickpeas well after rinsing them for extra crispiness. Experiment with different spices like chili powder or herbs. They can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days or in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat in the air fryer to restore crispiness.
