Ingredients
  

Fritter Ingredients
  • 2 cups diced apples Any variety of apples can be used.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Can add nutmeg or cloves for variation.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Glaze Ingredients
  • 1 cup powdered sugar For glaze.
  • 2 tablespoons milk For glaze.

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Use a spoon to drop spoonfuls of the batter into the air fryer basket, ensuring they aren’t touching.
  3. Cook for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
Glazing
  1. While the fritters cool, mix powdered sugar and milk in a bowl to make the glaze.
  2. Drizzle the glaze over the fritters before serving.

Notes

Best served warm. They can be enjoyed plain or with a drizzle of glaze. Pair with coffee or tea for breakfast or serve with vanilla ice cream as a dessert.
